Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani has said that Parliaments of the Muslim countries must come forward and interact to evolve a mechanism for making concrete efforts to resolve the issues being faced by the Muslim Ummah. The brotherly relations among the Muslim states need to be translated into economic opportunities.
He was talking to Radwan Loutfi, Syrian Ambassador in Pakistan here at Parliament House on Wednesday.
Sanjrani reiterated need to further strengthen existing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Syria through enhancing parliamentary ties and cooperation in various areas of mutual interest. Chairman Senate observed that Pakistan and Syria traditional and historical linkages with one another and mutually share time tested bond of friendship. Chairman Senate also underscored the need for enhanced parliamentary linkages between Parliaments of two sides. He said that bilateral relations could be further cemented by increasing parliamentary exchanges.
On behalf of Speaker of Syrian Assembly, Syrian Ambassador extended invitation to Chairman Senate to visit Syria at a convenient time.
