Deputy Chairman Senate Senator Saleem Mandviwalla in a meeting with Malaysian High Commissioner Ikram Mohammad Ibrahim has called for expediting visa issuance process on both sides so that people of both countries can benefit from it efficiently. He also observed that this relaxation in visa processes will also help in better exploring the tourism potential in both countries and will lead to its promotion. The High Commissioner called on Deputy Chairman Senate in his chamber at Parliament House today.
Deputy Chairman Senate in his remarks said that there is a growing need to revisit the Free Trade Agreement between Malaysia and Pakistan. He said that the trade volume is good but it had to grow and there are a lot of untouched sectors which can contribute in enhancing the trade activity between two countries.
Both sides agreed to enhance Parliamentary exchanges and high level delegations as well as people to people contact programmes for making the bond between both countries stronger.
