Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla has said Pakistan offers a conducive environment for investment and foreign investors can benefit from the new emerging realities to invest in different sectors. He was exchanging views with Political Counsellor Lona Thomas of the High Commission of United Kingdom at the Parliament House. Matters of mutual concern and bilateral significance were also discussed in the meeting.
He said that Pakistan highly values it bilateral ties with United Kingdom and desires to further expand bilateral relations and enhance parliamentary linkages and institutional collaboration to build consensus on many issues. He underscored the need for sharing experiences between the two parliaments. Deputy Chairman Senate said that Pakistan is working on enacting legislation pertaining to Anti-money laundering and benefit from the UK experience in this regard.
Ms. Lona Thomas, Political Counsellor of the UK High Commission agreed with the views of Deputy Chairman Senate and said that enhanced institutional linkages and bilateral contacts would further pave the way for exploring new avenues of cooperation.
