2.      SENATOR SYED ZAFAR ALI SHAH, Chairman, Standing Committee on National Regulations and Services, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the delay in presentation of report of the Committee on the Bill to provide for the establishment of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan [The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan Bill, 2012], be condoned till today.

 

REPORT OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE - PRESENTATION OF:

 

3.      SENATOR SYED ZAFAR ALI SHAH, Chairman, Standing Committee on National Regulations and Services, to present report of the Committee on the Bill to provide for the establishment of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan [The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan Bill, 2012].

4.      Further discussion on the following motion moved by Col. (R) Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi on his behalf and on behalf of Mr. Hamza on 6th September, 2012:-

 

“The House may discuss the law and order situation in the country with particular reference to target killings and sectarian violence in Balochistan, Karachi and Gilgit-Baltistan.”.

5.      MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MAHMOOD to move that this House may discuss the affairs of Pakistan Railways with particular reference to its present financial position and the condition of its locomotives and other infrastructure.

 

6.      COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move that the House may discuss the steps being taken by the Government to provide speedy and inexpensive justice in the country.

 

7.      MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MAHMOOD to move that the House may discuss the overall performance of OGDCL with particular reference to the discovery of petroleum and gas reservoirs in the country.

 

8.      COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move that the House may discuss the situation arising out of supply of contaminated and polluted drinking water in the country.

 

9.      MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MAHMOOD to move that the House may discuss the Foreign Policy of the Government with particular reference to Saudi Arabia.

10.    Consideration of the following resolution moved by Mr. Shahi Syed on  30th April, 2012:-

 

 “This House recommends that the Government may take effective steps to deweaponize the city of Karachi in view of prevailing law and order situation in the city.”.

 

RESOLUTIONS

 

11.    COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that stipends be granted to all the unemployed educated persons in the country.”.

 

12.    MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MAHMOOD to move the following resolution:-

 

“The House recommends that water filtration plants may be installed in each city and village of the country to save the people from water borne diseases.”.

 

13.    COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the Government may take effective steps for provision of free education in the areas under the Federal Government.”.

 

14.    MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MAHMOOD to move the following resolution:-

 

“The House recommends that amount of outstanding loans granted by the Government for the construction of houses to the affectees of 8th October, 2005 earthquake be written off.”.

 

15.    COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

“This House recommends that uniform curriculum may be introduced in all the schools and colleges in the country.”.
