12.    Consideration of the following resolution moved by Mr. Muhammad Talha Mehmood on 28th January, 2013:-

 

“This House recommends that effective steps be taken to eradicate manufacturing and sale of spurious and substandard drugs in the country.”.

 

13.    Consideration of the following resolution moved by Mr. Karim Ahmed Khawaja on 18th February, 2013:-

 

“The House recommends that the Government may take effective steps to control environmental pollution in ICT.”.

 

RESOLUTIONS

 

14.    MIAN RAZA RABBANI to move the following resolution:-

 

“The Senate of Pakistan calls upon the Government to delete the words “Education” and “Health” from the names of the Federal Ministries listed in the Rules of Business, 1973 in pursuance of 18th Constitutional Amendment.”

 

15.    MRS. NUZHAT SADIQ to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that Government may take immediate steps to conduct forensic audit of all departments dealing with power sector in order to identify the root causes of power crises in the country and plan comprehensive way forward to solve it.”.

 

16.    HAJI MOHAMMAD ADEEL to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the Government may take necessary steps to shift head office of the State Bank of Pakistan from Karachi to Islamabad within one year.”.

 

17.    COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the infrastructure of  PIMS and Federal Government Poly Clinic Hospital, Islamabad, may be extended to accommodate increased number of beds in all wards.”.

 

18.    MR. KARIM AHMED KHAWAJA to move the following resolution:-

 

The House recommends that the Government may take effective steps to implement the international obligations of the Federal Government regarding global warming and to control environmental pollution in the country. The Federal Government may facilitate provincial Governments to observe the international standards specified by the United Nations relating to tree plantation, disposal of waste, protection of sea, rivers, canals, creeks and lakes from waste, protection of forests and control pollution of all types in their areas.”.

 

MOTIONS

(Under Rule 218)

 

19.    MR. FARHATULLAH BABAR to move that this House may discuss the situation arising out of non payment of compensation to decree holders of land acquired for AFV Ranges in Nowshera for the last several decades.

 

20.    MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MEHMOOD to move that the House may discuss the overall performance of Pakistan International Airlines.

 

21.    MR. SAEED GHANI to move that the House may discuss the alleged irregularities/rigging in Elections 2013.

 

22.    COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move that the House may discuss the situation arising out of night phone call packages offered by telecom/mobile phone companies in the country.

 

23.    MRS. NUZHAT SADIQ to move that this House may discuss overall performance of Pakistan Railways with particular reference to  its commercial deal of business with PRACS.
