2.      HAFIZ HAMDULLAH to move for leave to introduce a Bill further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015]. (Amendment of paragraph (h) of Article 37)

 

3.      HAFIZ HAMDULLAH to introduce the Bill further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015].

 

4.      HAFIZ HAMDULLAH to move for leave to introduce a Bill further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015]. (Omission of clause (2) of Article 248)

 

5.      HAFIZ HAMDULLAH to introduce the Bill further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015].

 

6.      HAFIZ HAMDULLAH to move for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for education and propagation of the Holy Quran as per recitation, translation, learning by heart and correct pronunciation [The Education of the Holy Quran according to Recitation by Sighting and with Translation, Learning by Heart and with Correct Pronunciation Bill, 2015].

 

7.      HAFIZ HAMDULLAH to introduce the Bill to provide for education and propagation of the Holy Quran as per recitation, translation, learning by heart and correct pronunciation [The Education of the Holy Quran according to Recitation by Sighting and with Translation, Learning by Heart and with Correct Pronunciation Bill, 2015].

 

LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS

 

8.      SYEDA SUGHRA IMAM to move that the Bill further to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 and the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 [The Anti-Honour Killings Laws (Criminal Laws Amendment) Bill, 2014], as reported by the Standing Committee, be taken into consideration at once.

 

9.      SYEDA SUGHRA IMAM to move that the Bill further to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 and the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 [The Anti-Honour Killings Laws (Criminal Laws Amendment) Bill, 2014] be passed.

 

10.    MR. FARHATULLAH BABAR to move that the Bill to provide for the prevention of and protection of Pakistani citizens and of all other persons for the time being in Pakistan from all acts of torture, custodial death and custodial rape  [The Torture, Custodial Death and Custodial Rape (Prevention and Punishment) Bill, 2014], as reported by the Standing Committee, be taken into consideration at once.

 

11.    MR. FARHATULLAH BABAR to move that the Bill to provide for the prevention of and protection of Pakistani citizens and of all other persons for the time being in Pakistan from all acts of torture, custodial death and custodial rape  [The Torture, Custodial Death and Custodial Rape (Prevention and Punishment) Bill, 2014] be passed.

15.    SYEDA SUGHRA IMAM to move that the Bill further to amend the Privatisation Commission Ordinance, 2000 [The Privatisation Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2013] be passed.

 

COMMENCED MOTION

16.    Further discussion on the following motion moved by Haji Mohammad Adeel on 5th January, 2015:-

 

“This House may discuss the issue of non-payment of net hydel profits to the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in line with AGN Kazi formula and Arbitration Award of 2006.”.

 

MOTIONS

(Under Rule 218)

 

17.    NAWABZADA SAIFULLAH MAGSI to move that the House may discuss the situation arising out of supply of contaminated water in Islamabad Capital Territory.

 

18.    HAFIZ HAMDULLAH to move that this House may discuss the situation arising out of drought in Thar.

 

19.    MRS. SEHAR KAMRAN to move that the House may discuss the education policy of the Government with particular reference to provision of free education to the children upto the age of 16 as provided in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

 

20.    MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MEHMOOD to move that the House may discuss the overall performance of CDA with particular reference to removal of encroachments in commercial and residential areas in Islamabad.

 

21.    NAWABZADA SAIFULLAH MAGSI to move that the House may discuss the performance of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in the wake of floods in September, 2014 in the country.

 

RESOLUTIONS

 

22.    SYED MUZAFAR HUSSAIN SHAH to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the Government should provide subsidy on electricity tariff in areas in the country where water is being lifted through electrical motors for irrigation purposes.”.

 

23.    MR. KARIM AHMED KHAWAJA to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the Government should decrease taxes / duties on petroleum products in order to facilitate the citizens / consumers in the country.”.

 

24.    MR. ILYAS AHMAD BILOUR to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the cities of Swat, Peshawar and Bannu may be conferred the award of Hilal-e-Istiqlal in recognition of the services and sufferings of people of those cities in the fight against terrorism for the last 35 years.”.

 

25.    MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MEHMOOD to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that para military force may be deployed at Pak-China border including Susat check post.”.

 

26.    SYED MUZAFAR HUSSAIN SHAH to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the Government should constitute a Federal Agricultural Price Commission having mandate to fix the minimum support price of the major crops i.e. cotton, wheat, sugar-cane and onions before the sowing season each year.”.

 

 

AMENDMENT TO THE SENATE RULES

(Under Rule 277)

 

 

27.    MR. MUHAMMAD ZAHID KHAN to seek leave under sub-rule (4) of rule 277 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, to move that in sub-rule (1) of rule 198, the words “in consultation with the Minister concerned”, occurring at the end, shall be omitted.

28.    MR. MUHAMMAD ZAHID KHAN to move that the proposed amendment in the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, regarding amendment of sub-rule (1) of rule 198, be taken into consideration.
