presentation of report of the Committee on the Bill further to amend the Constitution
of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015],
introduced on 9th March, 2015, be condoned till today. (Omission of Clause (2) of Article
248).

Human Rights, to present report of the Committee on the Bill further to amend
the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015]. (Omission of Clause (2) of Article 248).
6. SENATOR
MUHAMMAD JAVED ABBASI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Law, Justice and
Human Rights, to present report of the Committee on the Bill further to amend
the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015]. (Substitution of Clause (1) of Article 140A).
7. SENATOR
IQBAL ZAFAR JHAGRA, Chairman, Standing Committee on
Water and Power, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of
Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the time for
presentation of report of the Committee on Demand Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 9 and 12 of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government, referred by the
Chairman Senate during the Senate sitting held
on 14th May, 2015, for consideration and report within two months which
was further extended till 12th September, 2015, be extended for a
further period of 30 working days as more time is needed for presentation of report to the House.
8. SENATOR MUHAMMAD
TALHA MEHMOOD, Chairman, Standing Committee on Cabinet
Secretariat, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of
Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the time for
presentation of report of the Committee regarding amendment in the “Islamabad
Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions (Registration and
Regulation) Act, 2013” be extended till 15th October, 2015, due to
the reason that the meeting of the Committee could not be convened before 5th
October, 2015, on account of travel abroad by Chairman Committee on urgent
basis. The report / recommendations of
the Committee will be presented in the House after detail discussion with
relevant stakeholders by 15th October, 2015.
CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE
9. SENATOR
MUKHTIAR AHMED DHAMRAH @ AAJIZ to draw attention of the Minister for Water
and Power to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding death of two persons and injury to one person due to fall
of High Power Voltage (11000 KV) transmission line near Dhoro
Naaro Umer Kot, Sindh on 4th August, 2015.
LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS
10. MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for
Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move that the Bill further to amend the
State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956 [The State Bank of Pakistan (Amendment) Bill,
2015], as passed by the National Assembly, be taken into
consideration.
11. MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for
Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move that the Bill further to amend the
State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956 [The State Bank of Pakistan (Amendment) Bill,
2015], be passed.
PERIODICAL
REPORTS BY MINISTERS ON MATTERS REFERRED BY THE HOUSE
12. Periodical reports by Ministers on the following matters referred by the
House and recommendations made by the Committees, under rule 265A of the Rules
of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012:-
(i) |
Report by the
Minister for Railways regarding the following recommendations made by the Standing Committee on Railways:- (a) Recommendations of the Joint Enquiry Committee constituted to
probe into the accident of special Military Train occurred on 2nd
July, 2015 should be implemented in true letter and spirit and within
stipulated time frame; (b) Maximum compensation in terms of cash and kind to
deceased/injured persons during the accident be
provided by the Federal Government. Ministry of Railways may approach the
competent forum in this regard under intimation to this Secretariat; (c) All vacant vacancies in the Ministry and its attached departments
should be filled on priority under the defined transparent procedure and
approved criteria; and (d) Pay package of the personnel serving in Railways Police should be
brought at par with the Motorways Police. Ministry should initiate the case
in this regard on priority; |
(ii) |
Report by the
Minister for Defence Production regarding recommendation made by the Standing Committee on Defence
Production that the Ministry will ensure that concrete steps be taken to
enhance the security of all installations particularly in view of prevailing
security concerns; |
(iii) |
Report
by the Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage regarding
non-broadcasting of programs in Balochi language by the Government controlled
Media, raised by Senator Dr. Jehanzeb Jamaldini, on 7th July, 2015; |
(iv) |
Report
by the Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control regarding happening of
some indiscipline and irregularities in the affairs of Langland
Public School in Chitral in the absence of Miss
Carry Sheffield who went back to England for renewal of her Visa but due to
some unknown reasons her visa is not being renewed by the Ministry, raised by
Senator Samina Abid, on 7th July, 2015; and |

the Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Regarding restriction on the
entry of Chinese into Gawadar without NOC by the Interior Ministry, raised by
Senator Muhammad Talha Mehmood, on 7th July, 2015. |
