3.      Admissibility of the following Adjournment Motions will be determined:-

 

(i)

Adj. Motion No. 14(121)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Shahi Syed, regarding victimization of businessmen community of Pakhtoons in Karachi at the hands of Karachi Police on the pretext of baseless allegations of their connivance with Taliban; and

 

 

(ii)

Adj. Motion No. 16(121)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Taj Haider, regarding Government’s announcement that Sui Southern Gas Company’s dues amounting to Rs. 37 billion against Pakistan Steel Mills will be settled by transferring land of Pakistan Steel Mills to Sui Southern Gas Company, which is a violation of Article 274 of the Constitution.

 

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

4.      SENATOR COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI, to draw attention of the Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to a matter of public importance regarding alarming and            anti-people news that additional taxes are to be imposed on the already hard pressed suffering taxpaying people.

 

MOTION

 

5.      SENATOR MIR MUHAMMAD YOUSAF BADINI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Climate Change, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the delay in presentation of report of the Committee on a starred question No. 21 asked by Senator Sabina Rauf on 28th August, 2008, regarding the steps proposed to be taken by the Government to protect the forests in the country, be condoned till today.

 

REPORTS OF THE STANDING COMMITTEES - PRESENTATION OF:

 

6.      SENATOR MIR MUHAMMAD YOUSAF BADINI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Climate Change, to present report of the Committee on a starred question No. 21 asked by Senator Sabina Rauf on 28th August, 2008, regarding the steps proposed to be taken by the Government to protect the forests in the country.

 

 

7.      SENATOR MIR ISRARULLAH KHAN ZEHRI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources, to present reports of the Committee on the following issues referred by the House to the Committee for consideration and report :-

 

(i)

Motion under rule 218 moved by Senator Saeed Ghani, on the issue of import of LNG in the country and the agreements made or proposed to be made in this regard;

 

(ii)

Demand No. 10 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government regarding placement of incidence of  Unaccounted for Gas (UFG) on Gas Companies or partially on the consumers; and

 

(iii)

Demand No. 11 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government regarding removal of moratorium on new gas connections and load extension for industries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa generally and Gas producing Districts (Karak, Kohat and Hangu) in particular.

 

 

MOTION

8.      SENATOR HAFIZ HAMDULLAH, Chairman, Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the time for presentation of report of the Committee on a starred question       No. 118 asked by Senator Mohammad Azam Khan Swati on 18th September, 2015, regarding establishment of complaint cell in the Ministry of Religious Affairs to deal with the complaints against Private Hajj and Umra Operators, be extended for a period of thirty working days with effect from 18th November, 2015, as more time is needed for presentation of report of the Committee for the reasons to be explained in the House.

 

LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS

 

9.      MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move that the Bill to amend the  Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010 [The Anti-Money Laundering (Amendment) Bill, 2015], as reported by the Standing Committee, be taken into consideration at once.

 

10.    MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move that the Bill to amend the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010 [The Anti-Money Laundering (Amendment) Bill, 2015] be passed.

 


 

STATEMENT BY THE MINISTER

 

11.    Winding up statement by Mr. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, on a Motion moved and discussed in the House on 12th November, 2015, under sub-rule (2) of rule 157 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the House may discuss the report on 1st Biannual Monitoring on the Implementation of National Finance Commission (NFC) Award (July-December, 2014), laid on the Table of the House on 13th October, 2015.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

12.    SENATOR SHEHER BANO SHERRY REHMAN, to draw attention of the Minister for Water and Power, to a matter of public importance regarding a letter written by a Chinese Company, expressing its concern on the execution of Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park in which Punjab Government has committed some violation of agreement.

 

DISCUSSION ON THE ADMITTED ADJOURNMENT MOTION

 

13.    Discussion on the admitted adjournment motion moved by Senator Sheher Bano Sherry Rehman, on 11th November, 2015, regarding accumulation of total debt over PKR 3.81 trillion which, subject to approval of the latest tranche by the IMF Board, will increase to 68 billion dollars by the end of the fiscal year and Pakistan will need 6.7 billion dollars this year for service of the external debt.
