3.      Admissibility of the following Adjournment Motions will be determined:-

 

(i)

Adj. Motion No. 12 (122)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Syed Muzafar Hussain Shah, regarding non-implementation of sugarcane price @ Rs. 180 per 40 kilo as announced by the Prime Minister;

 

 

(ii)

Adj. Motion No. 16 (122)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Mohammad Azam Khan Swati, regarding report by Auditor General of Pakistan on 15th December, 2015 which state that circular debt payment of Rs.368 billion to Independent Power Producers is irregular and in violation of procedure; and

 

 

(iii)

Adj. Motion No. 19 (122)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Sheher Bano Sherry Rehman, regarding steps taken by the Government to prevent HIV/AIDS and curtail its spread.

 

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

4.      SENATORS HAFIZ HAMDULLAH AND SIRAJUL HAQ, to draw attention of the Minister Incharge of Aviation Division, to a matter of public importance regarding the recent accident of Shaheen Airline’s Aircraft at Lahore Airport due to the intoxication of pilot.

5.      KHAWAJA MUHAMMAD ASIF, Minister for Water and Power, to move that the Bill further to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 and the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 [The Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2015], as reported by the Standing Committee, be taken into consideration at once.

 

6.      KHAWAJA MUHAMMAD ASIF, Minister for Water and Power, to move that the Bill further to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 and the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 [The Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2015], be passed. 

 

7.      SHEIKH AFTAB AHMED, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill further to amend the Electoral Rolls Act, 1974 [The Electoral Rolls (Amendment) Bill, 2015], as passed by the National Assembly, be taken into consideration.

 

8.      SHEIKH AFTAB AHMED, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill further to amend the Electoral Rolls Act, 1974 [The Electoral Rolls (Amendment) Bill, 2015], be passed.

 

9.      SHEIKH AFTAB AHMED, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill further to amend the Delimitation of Constituencies Act, 1974 [The Delimitation of Constituencies (Amendment) Bill, 2015], as passed by the National Assembly, be taken into consideration.

LAYING A COPY OF THE MONEY BILL

 

13.    SENATOR MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to lay before the Senate a copy of the Money Bill, the Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2016, under Article 73 of the Constitution.

 

14.    SENATOR MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move that the Senate may make recommendations, if any, to the National Assembly on the Money Bill, the Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2016, under Article 73 of the Constitution.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

15.    SENATOR MOHAMMAD AZAM KHAN SWATI, to draw attention of the Minister  for Petroleum and Natural Resources, to a matter of public importance regarding the prices of petroleum products presently being charged from public in wake of lower prices in international markets and depriving of common people from the benefit of these fallen prices.

16.    SENATOR MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to lay before the Senate the report on 2nd Biannual Monitoring on the Implementation of NFC Award (January - June, 2015), as required under clause (3B) of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.

 

DISCUSSION ON THE ADMITTED ADJOURNMENT MOTION 

 

17.   Discussion on the admitted adjournment motion moved by Senator Col. (R) Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi, on 31st December, 2015, regarding the incident of 16th December, 2014, in which innocent children were massacred and made martyrs in the Army Public School, Peshawar.
