Adj. Motion No.2(117)/2015-M, notice given of by Mr. Mushahid Hussain Syed, regarding proposed conversion of 1400 acre land of National Agricultural Research Centre by the CDA into residential/commercial plots.

4.      SARDAR FATEH MUHAMMAD MUHAMMAD HASSANI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Railways, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the time for presentation of report of the Committee regarding “provision of Railways land on lease to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government for construction of Mass Transit System in Peshawar” be extended till 14th September, 2015, due to the reason that the Ministry of Railways and Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have constituted a joint technical committee on the direction of the Standing Committee to look into the proposal and suggest way forward in consultation with relevant stakeholders.

 

REPORTS OF THE STANDING COMMITTEES - PRESENTATION OF:

 

5.      MR. SHAHI SYED, Chairman, Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication, to present report of the Committee on the Point of Order raised by Senator Aitzaz Ahsan, Leader of the Opposition, on 19th May, 2015, regarding selling of fake academic degrees and diploma by the “AXACT”, a Pakistani software company.

 

6.      MR. SALEEM MANDVIWALA, Chairman, Standing Committee on Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to present report of the Committee on the Bill to provide for the incorporation and functioning of credit bureaus and to provide for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto [The Credit Bureaus Bill, 2015].

 

7.      Discussion on the following matter raised through a Public Petition:-

 

 

“Non-installation of Machine Readable Passport System in the Embassy of Pakistan, Manila, for Pakistani community residing in Philippines.”.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

8.      AGHA SHAHBAZ KHAN DURRANI to draw attention of the Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding non-provision of funds and other facilities like transport, office, office staff etc., to the National Commission for Human Rights due to which the Commission is not working effectively.

 

PERIODICAL REPORTS BY MINISTERS ON MATTERS REFERRED BY THE HOUSE

 

9.      Periodical reports by Ministers on the following matters referred by the House, under rule 265A of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012:-

(i)

Report by the Minister for Water and Power regarding heavy load shedding in coastal belt of Sindh due to which the local industry has been shut down, raised by Senator Sassui Palijo, on 17th April, 2015;

 

(ii)

Report by the Minister for Water and Power regarding the unfortunate incident of dropping of electricity transmission wire on a passenger bus at Dadu, Sindh which resulted into death of fifteen passengers and injury to more than fifty, raised by Senator Khalida Parveen, on 5th May, 2015;

(iii)

Report by the Minister for Water and Power regarding extensive load shedding of electricity in the country, raised by Senator Col. (R) Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi, on 5th May, 2015;

(iv)

Report by the Minister for Water and Power regarding some scientific suggestions made by the Member for implementing the decision of the Government regarding early shutting down of commercial centers/shops, raised by Senator Nauman Wazir Khattak, on 5th May, 2015; and

(v)

Report by the Minister for Communications regarding construction of Khanpur road by NHA with a cost of 490 million rupees but ignoring the bridges on that road which will decrease the utility of that road, raised by Senator Muhammad Talha Mehmood, on     14th April, 2015.

 

REPORT TO BE LAID

 

10.    MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to lay before the Senate the report on 2nd Biannual Monitoring on the Implementation of National Finance Commission (NFC) Award (January-June, 2014), as required under clause (3B) of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

11.    MR. SAEED GHANI AND HAFIZ HAMDULLAH to draw attention of the Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding ban on the INGO “Save the Children” and subsequent withdrawal of said ban by the Government.
