(R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI, Chairman, Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 171 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 1988, the delay in presentation of report of the Committee on the Privilege Motion moved by Senator Ahmed Ali regarding preventing him from attending the meeting of the Standing Committee on Finance scheduled in Parliament House, Islamabad on 23rd November, 2010, by delaying the London-Islamabad PIA flight, be condoned till today.

(R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI, Chairman, Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges, to present report of the Committee on the Privilege Motion moved by Senator Mr. Ahmed Ali regarding preventing him from attending the meeting of the Standing Committee on Finance scheduled in Parliament House, Islamabad on 23rd November, 2010, by delaying the London-Islamabad PIA flight.

LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS

 

 

9.         MR. MOULA BAKSH CHANDIO, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill further to amend the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 [The Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils (Amendment) Bill, 2011], as reported by the Standing Committee, be taken into consideration at once.

 

10.      MR. MOULA BAKSH CHANDIO, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill further to amend the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 [The Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils (Amendment) Bill, 2011] be passed.

 

11.      MR. MOULA BAKSH CHANDIO, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill to provide for the recognition and enforcement of arbitration agreements and foreign arbitral awards [The Recognition and Enforcement (Arbitration Agreements and Foreign Arbitral Awards) Bill, 2010], as passed by the National Assembly, be taken into consideration.

 

12.      MR. MOULA BAKSH CHANDIO, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill to provide for the recognition and enforcement of arbitration agreements and foreign arbitral awards [The Recognition and Enforcement (Arbitration Agreements and Foreign Arbitral Awards) Bill, 2010] be passed.

13.      Further discussion on the following Motion moved by Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari, Leader of the House, on 31st March, 2011:-

 

“This House expresses its deep gratitude to the President of Pakistan for his address to both the Houses assembled together on 22nd March, 2011.”.

14.     Further discussion on the following motion moved by Senators Prof. Khurshid Ahmed,  Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo and Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro  on 4th May, 2011:-

 

“The House may discuss the statement of Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, made in the House on      4th May, 2011, on US operation on Pakistan soil on 2nd May, 2011, and its implications.”.
