A training session of drivers of the Senate Secretariat was held here in Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS) Islamabad today. Training session was held by the City Traffic Police, Islamabad under the supervision of the transport branch of the Senate Secretariat. Joint Secretary of Senate Secretariat Jamil Ahmed Khoso, Executive director PIPS Mr. Muhammad Anwar and Chief Traffic Police Officer, Islamabad SSP Sarfraz Virk attended the session. The drivers of the Senate Secretariat were comprehensively briefed regarding evolving traffic rules and road safety measures in the training session.Speaking on the occasion Joint Secretary Jamil Ahmed Khoso said that safe driving was extremely important for safety at the road. He said, it also reflects the general attitude and behaviour of a nation.

Underlings the importance of safe driving he said, it holds more importance when it relates to the employees of the Upper House of the country. This is the reason that the Senate Secretariat has been regularly conducting the training sessions, he added. He said that today's session was also the part of this ongoing process for imparting evolving traffic rules and responsible behaviour in our drivers. Executive director of PIPS and CTO Islamabad also expressed their views on road safety on this occasion. Joint Secretary Jamil Ahmed Khoso and Deputy Secretary Mudassar Sher Ali Gondal Senate Secretariat presented honorary souvenirs to CTO Islamabad and other traffic police officials at the end of the training session.
