Event Title: Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue presiding over a meeting of the committee at Parliament House, Islamabad.

Senator Saleem Mandviwalla chaired the Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue today at Parliament House to discuss the “The Virtual Assets Bill,2025”. 
 
The Committee had a threadbare discussion on the Bill titled “The Virtual Assets Bill,2025”. The Bill aimed to regulate virtual assets following established International practices. While pointing out various discrepancies in the Bill, Chairman Committee categorically stated that the bill shall not contain any discretion and it shall focus only on providing level playing field. He further called for a streamlined method for registration of companies in order to ease and attract the investors. 
 
The Committee, after a rigorous deliberations on the bill, pointed out various discrepancies and weaknesses in the draft and proposed different amendments to address them.
 
In attendance were Senators Anusha Rahman Ahmad Khan,Dilawar Khan,Mohsin Aziz,Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari,Afnan Ullah Khan,Ahmed Khan,Mohammad Abdul Qadir,Secretary for Finance and Revenue Imdad Ullah Bosal,Executive Director State Bank of Pakistan Dr. Inayat Hussain and other Senior officials of relevant departments.
