A Parliamentary delegation headed by Senator Pervaiz Rasheed is representing Pakistan at the 21st Asia-Pacific Parliamentarians’ Conference on Environment and Development (APPCED), being held in Seoul, South Korea. Earlier, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed  participated in the Executive Committee meeting, to formally constitute the leadership and procedural framework for the Conference, ensuring its smooth, efficient, and impactful conduct. During the Executive Committee meeting Senator Pervaiz Rasheed highlighted Pakistanis efforts to tackle climate change. He said that climate change is a global phenomenon and we all need to unite together to over come the challenges. The delegation subsequently attended the inaugural session of the Conference. Pakistan’s participation underscores its strong commitment to working in coordination with the global community to overcome the challenges of climate change and foster sustainable development. Since its inception, Pakistan has been an active member of APPCED, contributing to regional dialogue and collaborative action on environmental and developmental priorities.
