A delegation from the Pakistan-Rwanda Friendship Group in the Senate of Pakistan, led by Senator Kamran Murtaza, visited Kigali as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and parliamentary cooperation. The delegation included Senator Bushra Anjum Butt and Senator Jan Muhammad.
A key moment of the visit was the delegation’s solemn visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where they paid tribute to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The senators laid flowers and observed a moment of silence in memory of the lives lost, honoring Rwanda’s journey of resilience and unity.
The visit also included productive discussions with Rwandan counterparts aimed at deepening cooperation in areas of parliamentary diplomacy, economic engagement, and shared development priorities.
