Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of former Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Agha Siraj Durrani. He said that the demise of Agha Siraj Durrani is a great loss to the fields of politics and public service. He was a dignified parliamentarian, a capable administrator, and a staunch supporter of democratic values. The late Agha Siraj Durrani devoted a long period of his life to serving the people and played a significant role in the politics of Sindh.
The Chairman Senate noted that the late Agha Siraj Durrani was among the close associates of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and always played an active role in promoting and implementing the manifesto and vision of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
Chairman Senate extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family, friends, and party workers, praying that Almighty Allah may grant the departed soul a high place in His eternal mercy and give patience and strength to the bereaved.
