Advisor to the Chairman Senate and Ambassador to the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), Misbah Khar, attended the National Day of Oman celebrations hosted by the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman at Serena hotel in Islamabad. The event brought together senior diplomats, government officials, parliamentarians, and members of the international community.
 
Representing the Senate of Pakistan, Misbah Khar interacted with Oman's Ambassador Fahad bin Sulaiman bin Khalaf Al Kharusi , distinguished envoys, and diplomatic community members present at the reception. She exchanged views on the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Oman, expressing appreciation for Oman’s continued commitment to regional peace, cooperation, and development.
 
During the course of the event, several dignitaries conveyed their warm greetings and commendations to Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Ambassador Misbah Khar, and the Senate Secretariat for the successful organisation of the recent Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) held in Islamabad. Diplomats noted that the conference marked a significant diplomatic achievement for Pakistan, both in terms of its substantive outcomes and the high-level participation it secured from across the region.
 
They praised the Senate of Pakistan for its leadership in fostering parliamentary dialogue and lauded the well-executed arrangements that showcased Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Misbah Khar thanked the envoys for their encouraging remarks and emphasised Pakistan’s resolve to continue promoting constructive parliamentary engagement at regional and global levels.

The National Day reception concluded with expressions of goodwill between Pakistan and Oman and reaffirmation of their shared desire to further deepen bilateral ties.
