A series of important delegations called on Deputy Chairman Senate, Syedal Khan, at the Parliament House. The visiting groups included Members of the Senate, the Vice Chancellor of a Medical University, the Executive Director of PIMS, members of the PIMS Board, senior parliamentarians, former senators, tribal elders, students, lawyers and representatives of civil society. The meetings focused on the country’s political, social and economic landscape, the role of Parliament, and national development objectives.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chairman Senate said that Parliament is actively pursuing effective and comprehensive legislation to address the challenges facing the nation. He emphasized that all relevant institutions are working collectively to ensure public welfare, institutional reforms, transparent utilization of national resources, and the enhancement of Pakistan’s standing on the global stage.

Syedal Khan paid tribute to Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for his administrative acumen and efforts to steer the country toward economic stability. He noted that under the Prime Minister’s dynamic leadership, economic indicators are improving, development projects are gaining momentum, and investor confidence both domestic and foreign is on the rise. He added that reforms in the energy, governance and austerity sectors are translating into tangible relief for the public.

The Deputy Chairman Senate termed the approval of the 27th Constitutional Amendment a significant step toward political stability and parliamentary supremacy. He said the amendment would further strengthen democratic institutions and enhance transparency within the state structure.

Highlighting Pakistan’s abundant natural resources, agricultural potential, diverse climate and vibrant youth population, he described these strengths as the nation’s greatest assets. He stressed that all segments of society must work together for the country’s progress and prosperity.

Speaking about Balochistan, Syedal Khan stated that the federal government accords special importance to the province’s development. He noted that improvements in infrastructure, upgrades in health and education sectors, and the creation of new employment opportunities in Gwadar, Quetta, Turbat, Khuzdar and other areas are paving the way for a more prosperous Balochistan. He added that the people of Balochistan are patriotic citizens and a vital pillar of national unity.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants described the Deputy Chairman Senate’s remarks as insightful and constructive, reaffirming their commitment to continue joint efforts for national progress and public service.
