Acting Chairman Senate, Syedal Khan, held separate meetings with delegations comprising Members of the Senate, tribal elders, students, eminent intellectuals, lawyers, and medical professionals at the Parliament House. During these meetings, detailed discussions were held on the national economy, prevailing political situation, social harmony, promotion of national unity, public issues, and sustainable solutions through government initiatives.
While meeting Senators Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Bushra Anjum Butt, and Fauzia Arshad, the Acting Chairman Senate deliberated on making the legislative process in the Upper House more effective, strengthening parliamentary traditions, enhancing inter-provincial trust, advancing economic reforms, promoting investment, and providing relief to the common citizen. On the occasion, he stated that the Senate is not only the guardian of constitutional balance but also plays a strong and dignified role in strengthening federal unity and democratic values by giving equal importance to the voice of all federating units. He emphasized that national development and economic stability can only be achieved when all political forces rise above personal and party interests and move forward united under a collective national vision. He particularly highlighted the importance of collective wisdom, consultation, and practical measures for the development of underprivileged regions, including Balochistan, and for improving the quality of life of the people. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the country is entering a new and positive phase of economic recovery, political stability, and development.
In his meeting with the delegation of tribal elders, the Acting Chairman Senate acknowledged their historic role in safeguarding national unity, social stability, and traditional values. He noted that the tribal system, based on mutual respect and consultation, serves as a strong source for promoting peace and tolerance in society. He urged tribal elders to further strengthen their role in the intellectual and moral guidance of the youth and in the process of social reforms.
Addressing the delegation of students from Balochistan, the Acting Chairman Senate said that youth are the most valuable asset of any nation and the guarantors of a bright future. He stated that the government is implementing various programs and reforms to provide education, skills development, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities to young people. He encouraged the youth to adopt modern research, technology, innovation, and positive thinking, and to play an active role in national development and the promotion of democratic values.
During the meeting with the delegation of intellectuals, the Acting Chairman Senate emphasized that thinkers and scholars are the cornerstone in determining the intellectual direction of any society.
