Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate, held a meeting today with H.E. Salem Mohammad Al Zaabi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan at the UAE embassy in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their strong commitment to further strengthening the fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE, rooted in shared values, mutual trust, and longstanding cooperation. Ms. Misbah Khar emphasized that Pakistan attaches great importance to its close ties with the UAE and expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral relations.
Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in key areas including trade, investment, and energy cooperation. Ms. Misbah Khar highlighted the vast potential for expanding economic collaboration and welcomed increased UAE investment in Pakistan’s priority sectors, noting its importance for sustainable growth and development.
Parliamentary cooperation was underscored as an important pillar of bilateral relations. Both sides agreed to promote exchange of parliamentary delegations and strengthen institutional linkages between the legislatures of the two countries to foster mutual understanding and cooperation.
The meeting also reviewed the successful holding of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) in Islamabad. Ms. Misbah Khar appreciated the UAE’s participation in the Conference and emphasized that such platforms play a vital role in deepening parliamentary diplomacy and collaboration among friendly countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to continue close coordination and work together to further broaden and deepen Pakistan–UAE relations across all spheres for the mutual benefit of the two brotherly nations.
The UAE Ambassador conveyed warm regards and best wishes for the leadership and people of Pakistan, and reiterated his country’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.
