Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan has extended heartfelt congratulations to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on his appointment as Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces, terming the decision highly commendable and a recognition of his outstanding professional services and leadership.

 

In his message, Syedal Khan said that the appointment of Field Marshal Asim Munir will serve as a milestone in further strengthening inter-services harmony, integrated strategic planning, and the national defence structure. He added that the nation takes immense pride in his courageous leadership, unwavering resolve, and valour, and firmly believes that under his command, the three services will continue to effectively counter every challenge to national security.

 

The Acting Chairman highlighted that under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Armed Forces have demonstrated exemplary professionalism on the global stage, while successful counter-terrorism operations have further reinforced the country’s defence, making it more robust and resilient. He termed the appointment a positive development for Pakistan’s future and its national security paradigm.

 

Syedal Khan also congratulated Air Chief Zaheer Babar Sidhu on the extension of his tenure by two years. He noted that under the Air Chief’s leadership, the Pakistan Air Force effectively and decisively responded to Indian aggression, showcasing exceptional professional capability and operational excellence. He expressed confidence that the PAF will continue to safeguard Pakistan’s air frontiers with the same commitment, skill, and steadfastness.
