Event Title: Acting Chairman Senate, Syedaal Khan in Meeting with Delegation of U.S. Physicians for The Healthcare Symposium at Parliament House, Islamabad

A high-level delegation of American physicians visited the Parliament House, Islamabad, and held an important meeting with the Acting Chairman Senate, Syedaal  Khan. The delegation was warmly received by Senator Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan.  Senator Haji Hidayatullah Khan, Senator Jan Muhammad , and Secretary Senate Syed Hasnain Haider were also present during the meeting.

Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan described the visit as a shining example of Pak–US friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation. He stated that the health sector is a field that requires global collaboration, and the exchange of medical knowledge and expertise plays a vital role in improving societies.

He emphasized that Pakistan,  is taking serious steps to improve the health and education sectors, and that the services of American physicians can prove highly beneficial in this regard. He also encouraged the delegation to take an active role in health and education projects in Balochistan.

Appreciating the role of overseas Pakistani doctors, the Acting Chairman Senate remarked that Pakistanis living abroad are bringing pride to the country in various fields, and that Pak–US medical cooperation has already helped save thousands of lives.

He stressed that Pakistani doctors can greatly benefit from American experience, while Pakistan is also willing to share its own medical expertise with the international community. He added that Parliament is the central institution for policymaking related to public health and safety, and that global health challenges can only be addressed through joint strategies.

Syedaal Khan further noted that epidemics do not recognize borders, making international cooperation essential. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting medical education and research and expressed hope that such visits would open new avenues of future cooperation.

In conclusion, the Acting Chairman Senate thanked the American delegation and expressed the hope that this visit would further strengthen bilateral relations in the fields of health, education, and humanitarian welfare between the two countries.
