Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, paid tribute to the distinguished social and political services of former Chief Minister Punjab, the late Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo. Chairman Senate visited residence of the late leader, offered Fateha on his sad demise, and expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul a high place in Jannah and to bless the family with courage and fortitude in this hour of grief.
During the visit, Chairman Senate conveyed deep sympathies on behalf of the Senate of Pakistan and acknowledged the outstanding role played by Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo in national and provincial politics, public service, and democratic strengthening.
On the occasion, Chairman Senate also held a detailed discussion with the family members of the late Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo regarding the prevailing political situation in the country and the evolving political landscape in Punjab. Matters relating to governance, public representation, and further consolidation of democratic institutions were deliberated upon in a constructive manner.
