Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar Holds Meetings with Senators, Assembly Members and Representatives from Various Segments of Society; Discusses Regional Situation, Iran–US Talks and Pakistan’s Diplomatic Role
Islamabad: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar held separate meetings with Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, Senator Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan, Member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh Raja Khan Jakhrani, and representatives from various segments of society. During the meetings, detailed discussions were held on the overall political situation of the country, regional peace and stability, ongoing diplomatic engagement and negotiations between Iran and the United States in Switzerland, as well as other matters of mutual interest.
On this occasion, Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar stated that Pakistan has always remained a strong advocate of peace, stability, dialogue, and diplomatic solutions to regional and international disputes. He emphasized that under the prevailing global and regional circumstances, constructive engagement and dialogue remain the most effective and sustainable means for resolving conflicts.
Referring to the ongoing diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States, he termed the negotiations a positive development and expressed hope that these efforts would contribute to strengthening peace and stability across the region.
The Deputy Chairman Senate further stated that Pakistan has consistently acted as a responsible state committed to promoting peace, regional harmony, and peaceful conflict resolution through constructive diplomacy. In this regard, he appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and acknowledged the government’s balanced foreign policy approach, noting that effective diplomatic initiatives have been undertaken to safeguard national interests while enhancing Pakistan’s positive image at the international level.
Syedaal Khan Nasar also paid tribute to Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir for his professional capabilities, contributions to national security, and efforts in strengthening the country’s defence. He remarked that the armed forces continue to play a pivotal role in safeguarding national security, stability, and sovereignty, and that the nation deeply values their sacrifices and services.
The participants of the meetings also appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability. They stressed that the international community should prioritize dialogue and diplomacy in addressing conflicts. Participants further emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination among national institutions to strengthen national unity, political stability, and economic progress.
Concluding the discussions, Deputy Chairman Senate reiterated that Pakistan’s Parliament will continue to fulfill its responsibilities in promoting national interests, democratic values, and public welfare. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue contributing positively toward the promotion of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect at both regional and global levels.
