Islamabad/Multan: Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has paid rich tribute to all security institutions, law enforcement agencies, civil administration, and the people of Pakistan for ensuring peace and order across the country during the sacred days of Muharram-ul-Haram. He described the peaceful conduct of mourning processions and religious gatherings as a proud manifestation of the collective efforts of state institutions, security forces, administration, and citizens.
The Chairman Senate stated that the Federal and Provincial Governments, Pakistan Army, Rangers, Police, law enforcement agencies, intelligence organizations, and district administrations demonstrated exceptional professionalism, timely planning, effective coordination, and an unparalleled spirit of public service. Their concerted efforts successfully thwarted the malicious designs of anti-state and sectarian elements. As a result, religious observances and mourning activities continued peacefully and securely throughout the country.
He said that the dedication, commitment, and spirit of sacrifice displayed by security personnel in safeguarding the lives and property of citizens during Muharram-ul-Haram deserve the highest appreciation. The entire nation values their services and recognizes them as a precious national asset. Their sacrifices and devotion to duty will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.
Chairman Senate Gilani also commended the exemplary cooperation extended by religious scholars, Zakireen, organizers of Majalis and processions, volunteers, and the general public. He emphasized that religious tolerance, national unity, patience, and mutual respect constitute the true strength of Pakistan. The discipline, responsibility, and solidarity demonstrated by the nation during Muharram conveyed a clear message to the world that Pakistan is a strong and resilient country committed to peace, brotherhood, and national harmony.
