Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gillani Meets Pakistani-American Business and Health Representatives to Discuss Diaspora Collaboration
Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, received Mr. Asad Malik, President & CEO, Amerilodge Group and Dr. Ghaus Muhammad Malik, Executive Vice Chair Neurosurgery, Henry Ford Health at his residence today.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues for enhanced collaboration with the Pakistani diaspora in the United States for the socio-economic progress and development of Pakistan.
Chairman Gillani appreciated the contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in the USA, particularly in the fields of business, healthcare, and investment. He emphasized that overseas Pakistanis are a vital bridge between the two countries and play a key role in strengthening Pakistan-US relations.
Mr. Asad Malik and Dr. Ghaus Malik briefed the Chairman on ongoing initiatives by the diaspora and expressed keen interest in partnering with the Government of Pakistan to promote investment, healthcare cooperation, and community engagement.
Both sides agreed on the need for structured engagement with the diaspora to leverage their expertise, capital, and networks for Pakistan’s progress. The Chairman Senate assured full support of the Senate of Pakistan in facilitating such partnerships
