Chairman Senate of Pakistan, , has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing of former Emir of Qatar.
In his condolence message, Chairman Senate Gilani paid rich tribute to the late Qatari leader for his visionary leadership and remarkable contributions to the development and progress of Qatar. He noted that during Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani’s tenure, Qatar witnessed unprecedented economic, social and cultural transformation, which significantly enhanced the country's standing and influence in the international community.
The Chairman Senate stated that Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani played a pivotal role in promoting regional stability, international dialogue and cooperation, leaving behind a lasting legacy of progress and modernization. He remarked that the late leader's contributions would continue to inspire future generations.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani extended his heartfelt condolences to the Amir of Qatar, the Government and the brotherly people of Qatar on behalf of the Senate of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan.
