Chairman Senate Highlights the Importance of Sufism, Arts and Culture in Promoting Peace and Harmony
 
Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani met a delegation of the Sufism, Arts, Culture and Heritage (SACH) Institute, led by Peer Syed Mudassir Nazar Shah, at Parliament House, Islamabad.
 
The delegation, comprising Daud Sardar, Ashtalfa Syed, Syeda Duaa, Mahrukh Kazmi, and Muhammad Al Rayan, briefed the Chairman Senate on the Institute's vision, mission and initiatives aimed at promoting Sufism, arts, culture and heritage, while encouraging dialogue, cultural preservation and environmental responsibility.
 
Chairman Senate appreciated the Institute's efforts and said that art, literature, culture and Sufism play a vital role in the intellectual, moral and creative development of the younger generation. He said Pakistan's rich Sufi and cultural heritage promotes the values of love, tolerance, mutual respect, dialogue and peaceful coexistence, which are essential for strengthening national harmony and social cohesion.
 
He also emphasized the importance of engaging youth in cultural and literary activities and acknowledged the role of institutions such as SACH in preserving Pakistan's heritage and promoting the country's positive image internationally.
 
The delegation thanked the Chairman Senate for his encouragement and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Sufism, arts, culture, heritage and environmental stewardship through collaborative initiatives and community engagement.
