The ceremony commenced with a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony, where the national flag was raised amid patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.
Addressing the gathering, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla said that independence is a great blessing and the result of the sacrifices rendered by the nation’s forefathers. He urged the students to pursue education, develop strong character and play their role in the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by the college administration, faculty members and students, who celebrated Independence Day with national spirit and fervour.
He also planted a sapling on this occasion.
