Islamabad, Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasir met with parliamentarians, political and social figures, representatives of organizations, lawyers, tribal elders and students. The meetings focused on the prevailing national situation, particularly the situation in Balochistan, public issues, socio-political matters and other issues of mutual interest.
The Acting Chairman Senate also visited Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad, where he inquired after the health of former Senator Naseebullah Bazai and received an update from doctors regarding his condition. He expressed his best wishes for his early and complete recovery and prayed for his good health.
During the meetings, the participants apprised the Acting Chairman Senate of public issues and challenges faced by people in their respective areas and constituencies. Syedal Khan Nasir said that collective efforts and engagement with all stakeholders were essential for addressing public concerns, strengthening democratic institutions and promoting national development.
The situation in Balochistan, development needs, public welfare and opportunities for the youth also came under discussion. The Acting Chairman reiterated his commitment to supporting efforts aimed at the development of Balochistan and other underdeveloped areas and bringing them further into the national mainstream.
Syedal Khan Nasir said that Parliament is the most important forum for effectively highlighting the issues and concerns of the people. He emphasized that continued engagement with political, social, tribal, legal and educational stakeholders helps in understanding public concerns and developing effective solutions.
Interacting with students and youth, he said that young people are Pakistan’s most valuable asset and that their education, skills and talent must be fully harnessed for the country’s bright future.
The Acting Chairman Senate stressed that national unity, mutual consultation and collective efforts are essential to overcome the challenges facing the country, adding that public welfare and national development should remain a shared priority.
He thanked all the distinguished guests and reaffirmed that engagement with different segments of society would continue to ensure that public issues are highlighted before the relevant forums on a priority basis.
