Event Title: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani Leads ISC Delegation’s Call on Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia

Phnom Penh, Cambodia - Chairman Senate of Pakistan and Founding Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, led a delegation of ISC Speakers for a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.

The Chairman expressed deep appreciation for Cambodia’s warm hospitality and for the successful hosting of the 2nd ISC. He commended the Parliament of Cambodia for its excellent arrangements that contributed to the conference’s success.

Recalling his long-standing ties with Cambodia, Chairman Gilani said this was his second visit to the Peace Palace. He fondly remembered his first meeting with Samdech Hun Sen when he was Prime Minister. Prime Minister Hun Manet observed that he represents the second generation of friendship, as Chairman Gilani had also shared a close bond with his father.

Chairman Gilani extended a cordial invitation to the Prime Minister and the Parliament of Cambodia to visit Pakistan. He underlined Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening parliamentary exchanges and people-to-people contacts.
 

He emphasized that multilateral forums such as the ISC serve as vital platforms to promote peace, dialogue and international cooperation. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to work with Cambodia and other ISC member countries to advance peace, solidarity and shared prosperity.
