Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of several precious lives and injuries to more than 30 people in the train accident involving the Rahman Baba Express in Multan.
The Chairman Senate offered prayers for the forgiveness of those who lost their lives and extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families. He prayed that Almighty Allah may grant the departed souls the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, give patience and strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss, and grant a speedy recovery to the injured.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani stated that adopting an effective and comprehensive strategy to prevent train accidents and safeguard precious human lives is an urgent necessity. He emphasized that special attention must be given to strengthening safety measures and improving the railway system to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
The Chairman Senate directed the relevant authorities to ensure the provision of the best possible medical facilities to all those injured in the accident and stressed that no negligence should be tolerated in their treatment and medical care.
