The Chairman Senate stressed the need for a transparent and impartial investigation to establish the facts and ensure that justice is served in accordance with the law. He said that violence against children was deeply concerning and underscored the collective responsibility to protect their lives, dignity and fundamental rights.
Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani emphasised the need to strengthen safeguards for vulnerable children, particularly those living in orphanages and pursuing vocational training. He stressed that effective measures must be taken to prevent child abuse and exploitation and ensure a safe environment for every child.
