2.      SENATOR MUHAMMAD KAZIM KHAN, Chairman, Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Human Rights and Parliamentary Affairs, to move that under        sub-rule (1) of rule 171 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 1988, the delay in presentation of report of the Committee on the Bill further to amend the Members of Parliament (Salaries and Allowances) Act, 1974 [The Members of Parliament (Salaries and Allowances) (Amendment) Bill, 2009], be condoned till today.

BILL TO BE INTRODUCED

4.      MR. WASIM SAJJAD to move for leave to introduce a Bill further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2009]. (Amendment of Articles 25, 41, 48, 51, 52, 58, 59, 62, 63, 63A, 89, 91, 101, 104, 107, 112, 130, 153, 175, 177, 193, 199, 200, 213, 242, 243, 255 and Fourth Schedule).                

 

5.      MR. WASIM SAJJAD to introduce the Bill further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2009].

6.      MR. WASIM SAJJAD AND MRS. SAEEDA IQBAL to move that the Bill to make provisions for protection against domestic violence [The Domestic Violence (Prevention and Protection) Bill, 2009], as passed by the National Assembly, be taken into consideration at once.

COMMENCED RESOLUTION

8.      Discussion on the following resolution moved by Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro, on 27th July, 2009:-

 

“This House recommends that the loans written off by the Government Departments, Banks and Financial Institutions so far may be recovered immediately.”.           

 

R E S O L U T I O N S

 

9.      MR. MOULA BAKSH CHANDIO to move the following resolution:-

 

 

“This House commends the efforts made by the government for launching Benazir Income Support Programme for the poor of the country.”.               

 

10.    Mr. Wasim Sajjad to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that a High Court be established for the Islamabad Capital Territory immediately.”.                    

 

11.    Prof. Khurshid Ahmed to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends the government to review the fees, service and other charges formula of the local and foreign banks operating in Pakistan.”. 

 

12.    MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MAHMOOD to move the following resolution:-

 

“The House recommends that water filtration plants may be installed in each city and village of the country to save the people from water borne diseases.”. 

 

13.    Mr. Muhammad Ali Durrani to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that effective steps be taken for development of Bahawalpur.”.

14.    Haji Mohammad Adeel to move that the House may discuss the overall performance of the Ministry of Housing and Works with particular reference to Estate Office and allotment policy of Government residences in Islamabad.              

15.    Begum Najma Hameed to move that this House may discuss the overall performance of Pakistan Railways.

 

16.    HAFIZ RASHID AHMAD to move that this House may discuss the prevailing sugar crisis in the country.

 

17.    Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Mr. Wasim Sajjad to move that this House may discuss the affairs of National Bank of Pakistan with particular reference to reported corruption in the Bank.

 

18.    DR. MUHAMMAD ISMAIL BULEDI to move that this House may discuss the overall performance of the OGRA.
