ORDINANCE TO BE LAID

 

3.      MR. MUHAMMAD AFZAL SANDHU, Minister of State for Law and Justice, to lay before the Senate the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007 (Ordinance No.LX of 2007), as required by clause (2) (a) (ii) of Article 89 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan read with para 22(vii) of the Supreme Court’s Judgment, dated 31st July, 2009.

 

LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS

 

4.      DR. ZAHEER-UD-DIN BABAR AWAN, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill to establish NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology Multan [The NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology Multan Bill, 2009], as passed by the National Assembly, be taken into consideration.

5.      DR. ZAHEER-UD-DIN BABAR AWAN, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill to establish NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology Multan [The NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology Multan Bill, 2009], be passed.

 

6.      DR. ZAHEER-UD-DIN BABAR AWAN, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill to provide for the corporatisation, demutualization and  integration of stock exchanges in Pakistan [The Stock Exchanges (Corporatisation, Demutualization and Integration) Bill, 2009], as passed by the National Assembly, be taken into consideration.

 

7.      DR. ZAHEER-UD-DIN BABAR AWAN, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill to provide for the corporatisation, demutualization and integration of stock exchanges in Pakistan [The Stock Exchanges (Corporatisation, Demutualization and Integration) Bill, 2009], be passed.

 

8.      DR. ZAHEER-UD-DIN BABAR AWAN, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill further to amend the Modaraba Companies and Modaraba (Floatation and Control) Ordinance, 1980 [The Modaraba Companies and Modaraba (Floatation and Control) (Amendment) Bill, 2009], as passed by the National Assembly, be taken into consideration.

 

9.      DR. ZAHEER-UD-DIN BABAR AWAN, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, to move that the Bill further to amend the Modaraba Companies and Modaraba (Floatation and Control) Ordinance, 1980 [The Modaraba Companies and Modaraba (Floatation and Control) (Amendment) Bill, 2009], be passed.

10.    SENATOR WASIM Sajjad to move for discussion on the following matter of sufficient public importance arising out of the answer to starred question No.79 replied on 30th July, 2009:-

 

“Regarding management of Benevolent Fund and Group Insurance Fund, amount paid to the families of deceased employees and its investment in various profit schemes.”.

12.    SENATOR DR. SAFDAR ALI ABBASI to draw attention of the Minister for Food and Agriculture to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding refixing the procurement price of paddy crop at Rs.700 per 40 kg instead of Rs.600 per 40 kg and setting up of purchase centers to facilitate the paddy growers.
