2.         MRS. NASREEN JALIL, COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI AND                  DR. MUHAMMAD FAROGH NASEEM to move for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for an extraordinary procedure to investigate and determine credible claims of factual innocence [The Review of Innocence Claims Bill, 2012].

5.         MRS. NASREEN JALIL, COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI AND                  DR. MUHAMMAD FAROGH NASEEM to introduce the Bill to provide for the Curative Review by the Supreme Court of Pakistan[The Supreme Court of Pakistan (Curative Jurisdiction) Bill, 2012].

 

LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS

 

6.         MRS. SAEEDA IQBAL, CHAUDHRY SHUJAAT HUSSAIN, BEGUM NAJMA HAMEED AND MRS. FARAH AQIL to move that the Bill to provide for free and compulsory education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years [The Right to Free and Compulsory Education Bill, 2011], as reported by the Standing Committee, be taken into consideration at once.

 

7.         MRS. SAEEDA IQBAL, CHAUDHRY SHUJAAT HUSSAIN, BEGUM NAJMA HAMEED AND MRS. FARAH AQIL to move that the Bill to provide for free and compulsory education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years [The Right to Free and Compulsory Education Bill, 2011] be passed.

8.         Consideration of the following resolution moved by Mr. Farhatullah Babar on 30th April, 2012:-

“This House calls upon the Government to sign and ratify the International Convention for the Protection of all Persons from Enforced Disappearances.”.

 

 

9.         Consideration of the following resolution moved by Mr. Shahi Syed on 30th April, 2012:-

 

 “This House recommends that the Government may take effective steps to deweaponize the city of Karachi in view of prevailing law and order situation in the city.”.

RESOLUTIONS

 

10.      MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MAHMOOD to move the following resolution:-

 

“The House recommends that water filtration plants may be installed in each city and village of the country to save the people from water borne diseases.”.

 

11.      MR. KARIM AHMED KHAWAJA to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the Government may establish shelter houses for senior citizens.”.

12.      MR. MUHAMMAD ZAHID KHAN to move the following resolution:-

 

“The House recommends that Government may abolish cess/tax on the transportation of essential commodities to the Federally Administered Tribal Agencies.”.

 

13.      COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the Government may take effective steps for provision of free education in the areas under the Federal Government.”.

 

14.      MR. SHAHI SYED to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House recommends that the Government may take appropriate measures for the correction of voters lists which resulted due to incorrect census data in Karachi.”.

17.      MR. SHAHI SYED to move that this House may discuss the Law and Order situation in the country with particular reference to continuous target killings in Karachi.

 

18.      MR. FARHATULLAH BABAR to move that this House may discuss the law and order situation in the country with particular reference to the recent incident of jail break in Bannu.

 

19.      COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move that the House may discuss the steps being taken by the Government to provide speedy and inexpensive justice in the country.

 

20.      MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MAHMOOD to move that this House may discuss the affairs of Pakistan Railways with particular reference to its present financial position and the condition of its locomotives and other infrastructure.

 

21.     COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move that the House may discuss the existing public transport system in the country.

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

22.      SENATOR FARHATULLAH BABAR to draw attention of the Minister for Defence to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding denial of building/construction rights to the land owners in Rawalpindi by the Army/Cantonment officials.
