2.      SENATOR MRS. KALSOOM PARVEEN, Chairperson, Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat and Capital Administration and Development, to present Report of the Committee on the Bill further to amend the Civil Servants Act, 1973, [The Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill, 2013].

 

M O T I O N

 

3.      SENATOR MUHAMMAD KAZIM KHAN, Chairman, Standing Committee on Law and Justice, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the delay in presentation of report of the Committee on an Ordinance further to amend the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999 [The National Accountability (Amendment) Ordinance, 2010 (XVIII of 2010)], be condoned till today.

5.      Further discussion on the following motion moved by Mian Raza Rabbani on 11th February, 2014:-

 

          “The House may discuss the privatization policy of the Government.”.

6.      MR. FARHATULLAH BABAR to move that this House may discuss the issue of import of LNG to meet shortage of energy in the country.

 

7.      MR. AFRASIAB KHATTAK to move that the Senate of Pakistan may discuss the overall effects of ban on appointments in the Federal Government departments with particular reference to Federal General Hospital and Federal Medical and Dental College, Islamabad.

 

8.      COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move that the House may discuss the situation arising out of non-availability of clean drinking water in the Federal Capital Area.

 

9.      MR. MUHAMMAD TALHA MEHMOOD to move that the House may discuss Hajj Policy of the Government with particular reference to Hajj charges for the year 2013.

 

10.    COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move that the House may discuss the increasing financial losses of Pakistan Railways.

11.    Consideration of the following resolution moved by Syeda Sughra Imam on  13th January, 2014:-

 

“The House calls upon the Government to include all water disputes of Pakistan with India in the Composite Dialogue or in any other talks or dialogue process that is revived or initiated with India.”.

 

12.    Further consideration of the following resolution moved by Mr. Karim Ahmed Khawaja on 3rd February, 2014:-

 

“This House recommends that Charter of Democracy between Mohterma Benazir Shaheed and Mian Muhammad Nawaz Shareef be implemented especially Constitutional Court with equal number of Judges from all provinces may be established to decide the constitutional matters.”.

 

RESOLUTIONS

 

13.    COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government should take effective steps to regulate and monitor the working of private clinics in Islamabad Capital Territory.".

 

14.    MR. FARHATULLAH BABAR AND MR. AFRASIAB KHATTAK to move the following resolution:-

 

“This House calls upon the Government to prepare and make public a workable plan for FATA to cleanse it of militant networks, provide compensation to the victims of militancy, relief or rehabilitation of IDPs and a massive programme for the socio-economic uplift of the people.”.

 

15.    COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government should take effective steps to stabilize the value of Pak rupee against US dollar.".

 

16.    COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

              This House recommends that the Government should take immediate steps to establish Universities in each district of the country.”.
