Adj. Motion No. 06(119)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Shahi Syed, regarding production of spurious  and substandard medicines in the country and export thereof;

Adj. Motion No. 07(119)/2015-M, notice given of by Senators Baz Muhammad Khan and Muhammad Daud Khan Achakzai, Advocate, regarding killing of a Member of District Council Hangu in an IED attack; and

 

 

(iii)

4.      SENATOR SASSUI PALIJO to draw attention of the Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding the recent advertisement published in national newspapers about the vacancies in FIA wherein the quota of Sindh (Rural) has been ignored.

PERVAIZ RASHID, Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights, to lay before the Senate the Annual Report of the National Commission on the Status of Women for the year 2013, as required under section 16(2) of the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) Act, 2012 (VIII of 2012).

6.      MR. PERVAIZ RASHID, Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights, to move that the Bill to provide for the establishment of the Islamabad Subordinate Judiciary Service Tribunal [The Islamabad Subordinate Judiciary Service Tribunal Bill, 2015], as passed by the National Assembly, be taken into consideration.

 

7.      MR. PERVAIZ RASHID, Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights, to move that the Bill to provide for the establishment of the Islamabad Subordinate Judiciary Service Tribunal [The Islamabad Subordinate Judiciary Service Tribunal Bill, 2015] be passed.

8.      SENATOR TAJ HAIDER, Convener, Special Committee on the project of Pakistan China Economic Corridor (CPEC), to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the delay in presentation of report of the Special Committee on the project of Pakistan China Economic Corridor (CPEC), constituted in pursuance of the motions adopted by the House during its sittings held on 12th and 20th May, 2015, be condoned till today.

10.    SENATOR MUHAMMAD JAVED ABBASI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Human Rights, to present report of the Committee on a matter referred by the House on 4th May, 2015, regarding corruption in Federal Government Departments.

11.    SENATOR MUHAMMAD JAVED ABBASI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Human Rights, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 196 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the report of the Committee on a matter referred by the House on 4th May, 2015, regarding “corruption in Federal Government Departments”, be considered and adopted.

MOTIONS

 

12.    SENATOR SYED MUZAFAR HUSSAIN SHAH, Chairman, Standing Committee on National Food Security and Research, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the time for presentation of report of the Committee regarding conversion of 1400 acres land of Pakistan’s premier agricultural research facility, NARC into residential / commercial plots, which would be a violation of law as well as tantamount to under mining / destroying a vital national asset like NARC, as referred by the Chairman Senate, for consideration and report within thirty days be extended for a further period of thirty working days with effect from  29th September, 2015, as more time is needed for presentation of report for the reason that the CDA and PARC have not been able to provide / compile the required information as yet.

 

 

13.    SENATOR MIR ISRARULLAH KHAN ZEHRI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the time for presentation of report of the Committee on the motion moved by Senator Saeed Ghani, regarding issue of import of LNG in the country and the agreements made and proposed to be made in this regard, and referred by the House in its sitting held on 20th April, 2015, which was further extended till 25th September, 2015, be extended for a further period of thirty working days with effect from 26th September, 2015, as more time is needed to present report to the House.

 

PERIODICAL REPORT BY MINISTER ON MATTERS REFERRED BY THE HOUSE

 

14.    Periodical report by the Minister for Water and Power on the following matter referred by the House, under rule 265A of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012:-

 

 

 

“regarding non-implementation of the decision taken by the Chief Minister and ZIMINDAR Action Committee through which the QESCO was bound to provide electricity to agriculturists for         8 hours at Rs.10,000/= monthly bill, raised by Senator Mir Kabeer Ahmed Muhammad Shahi, on 7th July, 2015.”.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

15.    SENATOR SHEHER BANO SHERRY REHMAN to draw attention of the Minister-in-charge of Cabinet Division, to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding collection of a pre-paid coupon (adjustable against shopping) worth Rupees three hundred from each person belonging to the under privileged class by the administration of Centaurus mall, Islamabad.

16.    Discussion on the admitted adjournment motion moved by Senator Saeed Ghani on 6th August, 2015, regarding disconnection of gas of Pakistan Steel Mills by Sui Southern Gas Company.
