2. SENATOR
FARHATULLAH BABAR to move that the Bill further to amend the Privatization Commission Ordinance, 2000 [The Privatization
Commission (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015], as passed by
the Senate and transmitted to the National Assembly but not passed by the
National Assembly within ninety days of its laying in the National Assembly, be
considered in a joint sitting.
3. SENATOR
FARHATULLAH BABAR to move that the Bill further to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 and the
Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 [The Anti-Honour
Killings Laws (Criminal Laws Amendment) Bill, 2015], as passed by the Senate and transmitted to the National Assembly but
not passed by the National Assembly within ninety days of its laying in the
National Assembly, be considered in a joint sitting.
4. SENATOR
FARHATULLAH BABAR to move that the Bill further to amend the Pakistan
Penal Code, 1860, the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 and the Qanun-e-Shahadat
Order, 1984 [The Anti-Rape Laws (Criminal Laws Amendment) Bill, 2015], as passed by the Senate and transmitted to the National Assembly but
not passed by the National Assembly within ninety days of its laying in the
National Assembly, be considered in a joint sitting.
SENATE BUSINESS
5. Report by the Minister for Religious
Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign
Affairs, regarding Mina incident.
6. Further
consideration of the following resolution moved by Senator Karim Ahmed Khawaja on 3rd February, 2014:-
“This House recommends that Charter of Democracy between Mohterma Benazir Shaheed and Mian
Muhammad Nawaz Shareef be
implemented especially Constitutional Court with equal number of Judges from
all provinces may be established to decide the constitutional matters.”.
7. SENATOR COL. (R) SYED TAHIR
HUSSAIN MASHHADI to
move the following resolution:-
“This House
recommends to the Government to take necessary steps to make technical
education compulsory in all educational institutions in the Islamabad Capital
Territory.".
8. SENATOR BAZ MUHAMMAD KHAN to move the following resolution:-
"Conscious
of the fact that WAPDA House was constructed at Lahore in 1950 when that city
was capital of West Pakistan which is now the capital of one province i.e.
Punjab, this House recommends that WAPDA House may be shifted from Lahore to
Islamabad in order to remove sense of deprivation in other provinces, to
strengthen the federation and facilitate the people of all provinces equally.".
9. SENATOR MUHAMMAD TALHA
MEHMOOD to move the
following resolution:-
"The House recommends that allocation for health sector may
be enhanced in order to provide free and better medical facilities in the
Federal Government hospitals.".
10. SENATOR COL. (R) SYED TAHIR
HUSSAIN MASHHADI to
move the following resolution:-
"This House
recommends that the Government should take effective steps for welfare of
special persons in Islamabad Capital Territory.".
11. SENATOR
SARDAR MUHAMMAD AZAM KHAN MUSAKHEL to move the following resolution:-
"The House
recommends that in order to remove sense of deprivation from smaller provinces,
the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) office may be shifted from
12. Discussion on the
following motion moved by Senator Mir Kabeer Ahmed Muhammad Shahi on 14th
September, 2015:-
“This
House may discuss the present status of implementation of Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan
Package pertaining to the Ministry of Water and Power with particular reference
to the posts reserved for Balochistan under that package.”.
13. Discussion on the
following motion moved by Senator Mohsin Aziz on 14th September, 2015:-
“This
House may discuss the distressing situation arising out of Government’s recent
decision to increase the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Gas tariff along-with the GIDC.”.
14. SENATOR SIRAJUL HAQ to move that this House may
discuss the overall performance of the Ministry of Industries and Production
with particular reference to the steps taken by it for promotion of industrial
sector in the country.
15. SENATOR
MUHAMMAD USMAN KHAN KAKAR to move that this House may discuss the existing
political situation in the country.
16. SENATOR
OSMAN SAIFULLAH KHAN to move that this House may
discuss the situation arising out of the Government’s policy not to dualise / convert into a motorway the entire length of the
N55, Indus Highway.
17. SENATOR
SASSUI PALIJO to move that this House may
discuss the issue of dealing of oil and gas related policy matters at ECC and
OGRA levels and bypassing the Council of Common Interests in this regard which
is a violation of Articles 158 and 172 of the Constitution of the Islamic
Republic of Pakistan.
18. SENATOR
ILYAS AHMAD BILOUR to move that the House may
discuss the reported / alleged violations committed in the recent appointments
made in the Statistics Division, Bureau of Statistics and other projects under
that Division with particular reference to violation of quota in those
appointments.
